Selecting by attributes
The more objects you have on your page, the harder it is to select just the ones you want. One way to select a group of objects at the same time is to select one that is similar to the ones you want, and then click Select By on the Select menu.
This opens the Select By dialog box, from which you can choose among the following:
- Stroke name Choosing this option, and then clicking OK selects all of the paths and shapes that use the same gradient or brush stroke.
- Stroke color Choosing this option, and then clicking OK selects all of the paths and shapes that use the same stroke color (for basic strokes), gradient name (for gradient strokes), or foreground color (for skeletal strokes).
- Fill Choosing this option, and then clicking OK selects all of the paths and shapes that use the same fill color, gradient, or image.
- Font Choosing this option and then clicking OK selects all of the text objects that use the same font as the currently selected text object.
